Brian Dames

Dames has held marketing and senior management positions with Experian, Claritas, Ethnicgrocer.com, IXI Corporation, and Sears, Roebuck & Co. His two decades of experience spans retail, financial services, automotive, media, consumer products and telecommunications, among other markets.

"Brian's extensive knowledge about consumer and business-to-business data and data management is at the heart of the Customer Optimization solutions we deliver at Harte-Hanks," said Frank Harvey, corporate officer and vice president, Harte-Hanks, Inc. "We already have a superb team in both data services and data solutions, and having Brian's leadership and understanding to guide how these areas interact and serve our client's data-based marketing needs is exceptional."

"No matter what the market, more and more enterprises understand that prospect and customer information is the currency for today's marketing initiatives, and having command over such data, and applying data wisely, underlies every successful acquisition and retention effort," Dames said. "I'm joining an organization where people live and breathe each client's data-driven challenges and opportunities, and I look forward to helping our clients succeed in every measure."

Dames holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. His office is in Glen Burnie, MD, and he will relocate from Chicago to the Baltimore area later this month.

Ger Schuivens

Commenting on Ger Schuivens’ promotion, Robert Howells, Harte-Hank’s group managing director, international, said "Ger's appointment is a significant step in the integration and coordination of both solution delivery and development in Europe. Ger will lead the growth of our channel management practice, and global data management and enhanced telesales solutions, as well as the potential to leverage offshore partner resources in Romania. Already, he has helped integrate all of these initiatives – as well as operations support such as information technology, human resources, accounting and sales – in service to our clients in Europe."

"Our newest initiatives in Europe and beyond are designed to help clients optimize their customer relationships," said Ger Schuivens. "Business-to-business marketing has unique challenges that our tailored database and channel solutions address, and data quality and data management in both b-to-b and consumer marketing have become more complex as the number of interaction points have grown. We're tackling these issues in a comprehensive way for our clients, and our changes in Europe reflect this."

Schuivens joined Harte-Hanks in 1999, and has served in account management and sales management roles. His experience includes senior European management positions in finance, sales and operations with Bose, Computerland and St. Gobain, and he is a graduate of Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
