Redi-Mail Direct Marketing Receives Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributor Status

Redi-Mail Direct Marketing, an operating unit of Redi-Direct Marketing Inc. and a leading industry provider of sales and marketing support services, including list management and sourcing, database, lettershop, mail and sample fulfillment capabilities, today announced that it has received Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) accreditation status from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
In order to become one of a select group of VAWD accredited facilities, Redi-Mail needed to demonstrate that its pharmaceutical sample fulfillment warehouse facility operates in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, that Redi-Mail is validly licensed and in good standing with the appropriate authorities, and that Redi-Mail employs proper security precautions and best practices for the safe distribution of prescription drugs.
Redi-Mail's new 17,000 square foot facility includes a federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) approved sampling area. This custom-designed, climate-controlled sampling facility, which is operated using Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) industry standards, is protected by extensive camera surveillance, a biometric scanning system and 24/7 security. More than 400 full-time professionals support Redi-Mail's mail and fulfillment facilities, including both hand and automated production capabilities operating over two full shifts.
Developed by NABP, at the request of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the criteria for VAWD accreditation status is based on NABP's Model Rules for the Licensure of Wholesale Distributors, which is part of the Model State Pharmacy Act and Model Rules of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. After a facility achieves VAWD accreditation, trained NABP inspectors conduct re-inspections to ensure that the facility qualifies for renewal of accreditation.
