Under DelGiorno's leadership, the American Diabetes Association was named 2006 Organization of the Year by the Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation (DMANF) for demonstrating excellence in using direct marketing techniques to help generate support, high ethical standards within the nonprofit community, and above all, making a difference through successful programs.
