The Nielsen Company has announced the hiring of Jeff Boehme, a veteran media research and marketing executive, to direct business development for Nielsen DigitalPlus, which oversees the company's initiatives for digital set top box (DSTB) data.
As Senior Vice President, Business Development for Nielsen DigitalPlus, Boehme will develop and articulate the strategic business opportunities, relationships and application plans for DSTB data, working in conjunction with clients and internal Nielsen resources. He will report to Jed Meyer, Senior Vice President of Nielsen DigitalPlus, beginning April 2, 2007.
“Jeff brings a wealth of experience in audience measurement and marketing for both cable and broadcast television,” said Meyer. “He will be an important asset in our efforts to integrate DSTB data with Nielsen's entire spectrum of measurement services and information assets, and in our ongoing efforts to bring leading edge electronic measurement to all local television markets.”
Since 1992, Boehme has worked at National Cable Communications, the major spot cable advertising firm, most recently as SVP of Research and Marketing, where he led efforts to develop improved methods for evaluating the changing viewing patterns of local audiences. He previously ran research and marketing groups at top media companies, including NBC, Cap Cities/ABC and Seltel.
