Oneupweb Receives ADDY Awards, Brings Home Gold and Silver
Tuesday, 27 February 2007
Online marketing leader Oneupweb’s President, Lisa Wehr, has announced that the company was awarded three Gold and two Silver ADDY Awards at the February 15th Mid-Michigan Advertising and Marketing Club ADDY Awards celebration in Saginaw, Michigan.
OneupWeb won more Gold ADDYs than any other participant. Oneupweb’s corporate brochure, case study book and the company’s Web site, Oneupweb.com won Gold ADDYs. Silver winners included the Oneupweb podcasting mini-disk and a multi-media entry which included all four of the individual items as campaign.
“It was particularly gratifying to us that among a particularly tough field of marketers, we were so successful on our first time out,” notes Wehr. Each of Oneupweb’s five entries won an award, which is highly unusual according to the ADDYs organization.
“While it’s an honor to be lauded by our peers,” says Wehr, “Oneupweb defines success as growth through excellent work and service to our clients. I believe these awards are another sign that we’re doing the right things.” As further evidence, sales for the company grew another 150 percent in 2006, adding to a string of three-digit growth years. And company personnel increased more than 20 percent.
The ADDYs is one of the advertising industry’s largest competitions, attracting more than 50,000 entries every year. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ADDY Awards is the first in a three-tiered, national competition. Winners in this competition will be entered in the AAF District ADDY competition to be held in April in Southfield, Michigan, competing against 14 other districts. District winners are then forwarded to the national ADDY Awards. All Oneupweb entries were in the Self-Promotion category. The competition was restricted to work produced and used in 2006.
The recent ADDY recognition is the latest in what has been an award-winning streak for Oneupweb. In January this year, Oneupweb also won a national Gold Davey Award for its corporate brochure. In the spring of 2006, Oneupweb was named one of the 50 Michigan Companies to Watch by the Edward Lowe Foundation and Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. Plus, Oneupweb CEO, Lisa Wehr, became the only person named to B2B Magazine’s Who’s Who in Search Marketing list three times. And this past fall, the company became the first three-time winner of Best Search Marketing Firm as voted by ClickZ.
“We are quite pleased by this latest recognition and what it says about the quality of our work,” says Wehr. “It also tells clients, prospects and staff about our creative versatility and the standards we set. We won for print, podcasting and our Web site.”
