National Center for Database Marketing Gives Silver Award to infoUSA

infoUSA, provider of proprietary business and consumer databases and sales leads, has announced infoUSA's Donnelley Marketing Division, along with its client, The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., has been selected as a 2006 National Center for Database Marketing (NCDM) Silver Database Excellence Award recipient in the business-to-business marketing category.

infoUSA and The Hartford won this award as a result of their work in building a custom database from which The Hartford was able to generate new business insurance flow to its Agency partners. infoUSA and The Hartford partnered to build the Market Zone Platinum (MZP) database using a variety of disparate data sources and the application of custom built business rules and match logic.

infoUSA maintains the database for The Hartford while The Hartford accesses the data via infoUSA's MZP suite of tools to understand the competitive landscape through pre-campaign analytics. Prospects that are within The Hartford's appetite are selected and included in campaigns which are generated and distributed to their Agents following a telemarketing process used to qualify the prospects, making them ready to discuss their business insurance needs with a Hartford representative.

DIRECT Magazine and the Direct Marketing Association presented the NCDM Database Excellence Awards at a luncheon ceremony on Tuesday, December 12, during the 2006 NCDM Conference at the Caribe Royale Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Each year, the NCDM Database Excellence Awards recognize organizations that have shown ingenuity in leveraging their marketing databases. They honor companies that have achieved dramatic and measurable results by leveraging systems capabilities, applying statistical techniques, or reorganizing to become more customer-focused. Award categories include: Analytics & Modeling Applications, Technological Applications, Multichannel Marketing, and Business-to-Business Marketing.
