Monday, 30 October 2006
Warren Hunter, president and CEO of DMW Worldwide LLC, has announced two promotions at the agency. Wendy Connelly has been promoted to media planner/buyer, and Sara Lopatin has been promoted to account manager.
Since joining the agency in 1999, Connelly has been serving DMW’s List and Print Media Department, starting in administrative support and then working as media coordinator. In these positions, Connelly handled critical aspects of media work including data provider negotiations and list purchase.
Connelly is now also responsible for client exchange program management and results tracking report development, and has assumed an expanded role in list research for clients in public broadcasting. She also develops list recommendations for multiple Blue Cross Blue Shield and nonprofit clients.
“Wendy is savvy in all aspects of the list and media business, and this promotion allows her to continue to expand her media expertise to benefit clients in all the markets we serve,” said Hunter.
Over the past few years, Sara Lopatin has dedicated most of her time working with client Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has most recently managed the execution of all Highmark direct marketing programs, and has coordinated maintenance of its Under 65 customer/prospect database. Lopatin has also taken responsibility for DMW’s Independence Blue Cross account.
“Sara’s excellent account management skills and her growing knowledge of all aspects of the direct marketing discipline have earned her this promotion,” said Hunter. “She is an asset to the team.”
Notably, Lopatin’s client, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, has been the recipient of several industry awards, including winning the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association’s “Benjamin Franklin Award for Direct Marketing Excellence” in the print category.
