Redi-Mail Direct Marketing, an operating unit of Redi-Direct Marketing, Inc. and an industry provider of sales and marketing support services including list management and sourcing, database, lettershop, mail and fulfillment capabilities, has announced it has upgraded its direct mail verification process to the United States Postal Service’s (USPS) PostalOne!(R) system.

Through a suite of online services, the PostalOne! system allows business mailers to integrate their mail planning and production processes with those of the USPS for efficient and streamlined mail induction. The PostalOne! system automates much of the acceptance and verification process, enabling a faster and more accurate method of accepting, assessing, and finalizing postage statements.

"The PostalOne! system enables direct and specialty mail programs to flow quickly and efficiently through our facility," stated Jay Mena, vice president of Operations for Redi-Mail Direct Marketing. "Our upgrade to the PostalOne! system is an affirmation of our strict quality control and auditing procedures as well as our commitment to utilizing the latest technological innovations. We produce more than 5 million mail packages each week on behalf of our clients, and this solution further enables us to track and manage their marketing programs every step of the way."

As an industry leader, all mail produced by Redi-Mail follows strict batch controls and is subjected to documented quality control procedures from industry standard methodologies such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Automated Manufacturing Practice Guide for Validation of Automated Systems (GAMP 4).

Through the PostalOne! system, Redi-Mail is now authorized to send detailed mailing data electronically for verification, which reduces paperwork, handling costs and storage needs. PostalOne! provides improved access to mailing information and job tracking as well as enables drop shipment scheduling through the FAST (Facility Access and Shipment Tracking) Web site.

Redi-Mail said it is committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the mailing industry. In addition to the company's upgrade to the PostalOne! system, Redi-Mail has recently undergone preparation to utilize the USPS' 4-State Customer Barcode, the next generation of barcode technology used to sort and track letters and flats. Designed for use in high speed, automated mail sortation machines, the 4-State Customer Barcode allows the current PLANET Code(R) and POSTNET(TM) barcode information to be combined into a single barcode with expanded tracking capability.

Redi-Mail is also pursuing certification for the USPS's Mail Preparation Total Quality Management (MPTQM) program. Designed by industry mailers to help businesses prepare letter mailings that meet or exceed USPS processing quality standards, the program is based upon three internationally recognized quality methodologies, ISO 9000, the Malcolm Baldridge Performance Excellence criteria and Total Quality Management, creating a new mailing industry benchmark for customer service and product quality.
