CommercialWare, Inc., a division of Datavantage and wholly owned subsidiary of MICROS Systems, Inc., and provider of cross-channel commerce solutions for retailers, announced that its award-winning software solutions, available on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, have achieved Gold Certification status through Microsoft’s Gold Certified Partner Program.
By investing in becoming a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, CommercialWare expands the market for its suite of applications and also extends the quality of service it can provide to customers. CommercialWare software products, operating collectively as an integrated suite or individually as point solutions, help retailers to deliver a channel transparent experience to their customers while optimizing operational efficiencies. Versions of the CommercialWare software, CWData & Analytics, CWLocate, CWIntegrate and CWValueCard utilizing Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft SQL Server are all available for general delivery.
“Microsoft Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence with Microsoft technologies, providing retailers with the assurance they are working with experts in Microsoft technology,” said David Gruehn, director and industry manager for Microsoft’s Retail & Hospitality Industry Unit. “By achieving Microsoft Certification status and offering solutions based on Microsoft technologies, Commercialware is demonstrating further commitment in helping retailers enhance customer service, cut costs and improve overall efficiencies, while mitigating risk with their organization’s technology.”
CommercialWare retail software suite gives retailers the power to maximize the blended sales strategies that come from their ability to optimize the interaction with customers, regardless of channel. Today’s customers expect channel transparency throughout the buying process—the ability to research using one sales channel, buy using a second, and return or exchange using yet another.
“Our relationship with Microsoft allows CommercialWare to extend and accelerate our reach while delivering the exceptional and knowledgeable service for which we are known,” said Jane Cannon, Chief Operating Officer at CommercialWare. “Through our relationship, we will be able to better deliver and service integrated software built for retailers and direct marketers to optimize the transaction lifecycle across all customer touch-points – the store, the Internet, catalog, call centers, kiosks, and wireless devices.”
The ability to offer a rules-based view of locating inventory across all locations, real-time gift and stored value card and business analytics tailored for cross-channel retail are several of the benefits of the CommercialWare offerings based on Microsoft technologies. In addition to powerful functionality, the CommercialWare products, running on Microsoft technology, give cross channel retailers increased flexibility in making decisions about software, hardware, and retail infrastructure including options for hosted delivery. Retailers can benefit from rapid deployment of the solution with limited start-up costs.
