The Hacker Group, a direct marketing agencies in the West, has been selected by Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo to create and launch a member renewal and acquisition program. Woodland Park Zoo is a Seattle destination, welcoming over one million visitors each year and has received top awards for its exhibits and educational programs.

The Hacker Group has initiated a combined direct mail and interactive marketing strategy that includes a new membership acquisition test using their proprietary PowerTest(TM) methodology to simultaneously test multiple variables including copy, offers, and lists.

This process serves to lift response rates while reducing the test period to 12-15 weeks compared to two years for traditional testing. The two part 100,000+ piece mailing targets families throughout the Puget Sound region and dropped in mid-May, with another drop scheduled for early June.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with the preeminent direct marketing advertising agency in the West on this very important project," stated Steve Sullivan, Membership and Annual Giving Manager for the Woodland Park Zoo. Sullivan added, "We have been very pleased with The Hacker Group's creative talent and are highly confident that their breadth of industry experience will enable us to achieve our membership revenue objectives in a fun and engaging way."

Hacker Group President Spyro Kourtis stated, "We are very proud to be able to offer our services to such an important Seattle community institution and look forward to doing our part to help the Woodland Park Zoo achieve their important membership acquisition goals."
