MBS Hires Thomas Smith and Peter McLean as VPs, New Business Development

MBS, a provider of advanced database, interactive marketing, and fulfillment solutions, announced that Thomas Smith and Peter McLean have both joined the company as Vice Presidents, New Business Development. Their responsibilities are to establish and manage new business relationships with retail, catalog, and not-for-profit organizations for the array of MBS' marketing solutions and services.
Tom Smith has over 20 years of marketing experience and has worked with many of the nation's largest direct marketing companies developing and selling acquisition, customer file segmentation, market research, and contact strategy solutions. Tom's experience includes senior positions at I-Behavior, a catalog cooperative database, Experian's Z-24, where he served as Senior Manager for Eastern Regional Sales, and the Abacus division of DoubleClick. Tom also has client side experience, having served as an Executive Director at the Tiburon Catalog Co., New York, NY.
Tom earned a BS in Marketing with a minor in Economics from C.W. Post Center-Long Island University, New York, NY.
Pete McLean brings over 15 years of direct marketing experience to MBS in the areas of analytics, data, database marketing, lettershop production, and telemarketing. His career began in the list management and list brokerage community, where he worked with such publishers as Golf Digest, McGraw Hill, and PetersonPublishing. Pete also spent two years working for Donnelley Marketing in the License Division. In 2000, he moved to Choicepoint, where his clients included Ameriquest, Champion, and NewCentury mortgage companies.
Pete graduated from Southern Connecticut State University, with a BS in Business Administration.
