Magazine publisher Meredith Corp. said Monday it acquired California-based marketing company O'Grady Meyers Interactive Agency. Established in Los Angeles in 1993, O'Grady Meyers specializes in interactive marketing, including Web site development.
The company has about 40 employees with experience in food, packaged goods and health care categories, a statement released by Meredith said. Its client base includes the Nestle USA brands Carnation Instant Breakfast and PowerBar.
O'Grady Meyers will operate as a self-contained entity within Meredith Integrated Marketing, a division of 80 employees in Des Moines, New York, and Los Angeles, which serves 30 clients, including Procter & Gamble, The Home Depot, DaimlerChrysler, DirecTV, and Hyundai.
"We look forward to bringing our clients new, multichannel online and off-line convergence opportunities and enhanced consumer insights that are now possible due to combining our interactive capabilities with the tremendous assets of Meredith," said Patrick O'Grady, President of O'Grady Meyers.
Wendy Riches, Executive Vice President of Meredith Integrated Marketing and Interactive Media, said she hopes to attract new clients with the expanded capability in her division. "O'Grady Meyers has a proven track record of delivering highly creative and effective online solutions, including interactive strategies, innovative Web site development, viral marketing programs, online media, integrated promotions and more. We are thrilled to now include these new services in our portfolio."
