Return Path Launches Sender Score Reputation Monitor
''Credit Score'' System Allows Email Senders to View Their Email Reputation as Receivers Do and Gives Actionable Data to Improve Reputation, Delivery Rates

Return Path, Inc., an email performance company, has announced the launch of Sender Score Reputation Monitor, the first comprehensive email reputation management system that gives companies a simple, clear reputation score - a "credit score" for email -- based on robust data from email receivers and analyzed by Return Path's proprietary technology.

Reputation data drives email blocking, filtering, and ultimately whether a company's email gets delivered, making this score important for all email programs. Email receivers such as ISPs and spam filtering applications vendors will also use this scoring system in their filtering algorithms.


"Email reputation dictates how much email reaches the inbox at most ISPs," said George Bilbrey, VP & GM of Delivery Assurance Solutions for Return Path. "With Sender Score Reputation Monitor, companies now have an easy way to see their email programs as ISPs do and get the information they need to fix any problems hindering deliverability."

Sender Score Reputation Monitor aggregates 60 data points from more than 50 million email boxes around the internet to quantify a mailer's reputation, looking at factors such as complaint rates, unknown user rates, security practices, identity stability and unsubscribe functionality. Data comes from several major ISPs and filtering companies, including Mailshell, Cloudmark and Lashback.

All of Return Path's Delivery Assurance Solutions products will now be called Sender Score to emphasize the importance of reputation when it comes to email deliverability. "By branding our delivery products as Sender Score, we integrate the advanced technology of Sender Score Reputation Monitor into our core Manager and Monitor packages," said Matt Blumberg, CEO of Return Path. "Reputation is the foundation of all of our delivery services, whether we are providing intense delivery consulting or delivery tracking tools."

Sender Score Reputation Monitor, which has been in beta since last year, is available now for general use as a standalone product or as a component of Return Path's Sender Score Monitor package.
