To lend expertise to the company's focused development and delivery of integrated, multichannel marketing solutions for retailers, Harte-Hanks, Inc., a worldwide direct and targeted marketing company, has named Wendy S. Lynes as its vertical practice leader for the retail market.
Lynes, whose experience spans two decades, has held previous management roles in e-commerce and direct marketing companies, among them E-Centives, Inc., Agency.com, and Digitas.
"Our retail clients think and act multichannel, and are seeking solutions that put to use consumer information wisely to grow relationships, brand loyalty and profits," said Bill Goldberg, corporate officer and senior vice president, Harte-Hanks. "We welcome Wendy's digital experience, as retailers seek to leverage this channel intelligently in their integrated customer communication programs. She has been working with the retail community – both locally and nationally – for nearly two decades."
Lynes will be tapped to help perfect current products and services extended to Harte-Hanks clients. Currently, retailers account for 27 percent of direct marketing revenue at Harte-Hanks, and the company provides retail-focused strategy, database, data management, data quality, analytics, e-mail, direct mail, telemarketing and logistics services, and works with a majority of the US's largest retailers.
"While marketing is getting more complex, the demand for return remains constant," Lynes said. "That's what's driving retailers in their quest to know their customers better, to help them speak to customers in ways that respect them. Retailers also demand partners who understand their industry, their business goals, and their desire for innovative solutions, and I welcome joining a recognized leader in this effort."
Lynes, a resident of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, is a graduate of Salve Regina University, and holds a bachelor's degree in business strategy and marketing.
