Digital River, Inc., a global provider of e-commerce outsourcing, announced that it is providing e-commerce services for Telltale, Inc., an emerging pioneer in interactive adventures and entertainment.

Based on an agreement, Digital River is managing the online sale and digital and physical delivery of select Telltale products purchased through www.telltalegames.com and hundreds of online retail, content and portal sites in the Digital River oneNetwork(TM) online sales channel.

"Through the e-commerce expertise and best practices we have developed, we can advise our clients on how to effectively expand into new markets and efficiently promote and sell their digital products on a global basis," said Dave Alampi, Digital River's vice president of marketing. "We are leveraging our e-commerce services and world-class infrastructure to help Telltale sell through multiple online channels, which is one of the most effective strategies companies can use to not only generate a high level of exposure for their products, but also expand their sales opportunities."

Through its branded online store and Digital River's oneNetwork sales channel, Telltale is selling many well-known products, including games based on Jeff Smith's Bone(R), Telltale Texas Hold 'Em as well as Sam & Max merchandise.

In addition to powering Telltale's online store, Digital River is processing order transactions using regionally-preferred payment methods as well as providing fraud screening and multi-lingual customer service support.

To deliver physical copies of its games, Telltale is using Digital River's Physical-on-Demand(TM) service, which is designed to help lower product costs and eliminate inventory requirements for software publishers selling internationally.

The automated service leverages Digital River's production labs, which are in the United States, England, Germany and Japan, to produce, package and ship physical copies from the lab closest to the end user. As part of this service, Digital River also handles tax and export compliance.

"Digital River presented us with a comprehensive e-commerce solution that helped us tackle numerous requirements we had for our online business," said Telltale's chief operating officer, Troy Molander. "In addition to having a reliable online store that offers convenient shopping features, we are able to reap the benefits of Digital River's physical product fulfillment services for shipping packaged games as well as merchandise, like t-shirts and prints without investing in additional infrastructure. Telltale's products are off to a great start as evidenced by Bone: Out from Boneville, which launched in the fall and has received high acclaim from both fans and the press."
