Calysto Communications, a public relations firm focused exclusively on the telecommunications, wireless and networking industries, announced that Vienna, Va.-based Telarix, a provider of Interconnect Business Optimization (IBO) software for telecom carriers, has retained the agency's services.
IBO is a new business intelligence market segment within the Operations Support System (OSS) space that focuses on the improvement of a carrier's interconnect operations as well as with the analysis tools required to detect and remedy areas of potential revenue leakage or cost inefficiency.
Atlanta-based Calysto Communications will provide a range of public relations services including messaging, content development, strategic counsel and media relations to bring Telarix to the forefront of local, regional, national, and trade media attention. Calysto will utilize its deep experience in telecommunications to expand Telarix's position in the market as the leading provider of IBO software.
"Calysto's well-known reputation among telecommunications media and analysts is what convinced us to come on board with them," said Mark Wolsky, vice president of marketing at Telarix. "We wanted to work with public relations professionals who would not only come to the table with strategic counsel but who could be trusted among media and analysts. In addition to its relationships with key industry experts, Calysto clearly has the experience and the ability to take Telarix to the next level."
Telarix's iXTools is a powerful suite of software modules that enables carriers to reduce costs and increase profitability across their interconnect networks. By analyzing both revenue and cost information associated with telecom traffic in near real-time, carriers can optimize network routing and identify capacity opportunities while ensuring that every call is captured, rated and billed accurately. Three of the world's five largest telecom providers depend on iXTools to optimize their interconnect business.
"The opportunity to position Telarix as both a pioneer in this field and an industry leader is what motivates our team at Calysto," said Laura Borgstede, CEO of Calysto Communications. "That Telarix selected Calysto to be its public relations partner moving forward is a testament to the reputation we've worked diligently to gain in the industry."
